Support Us

We could not be as successful if it weren't for the help from our volunteers, the community and your support.  There are many ways you can help support our organization that do no require financial donations. Please consider helping

in any of the following ways below:

GENERAL Volunteer

PAALS success is due in large part to our ever growing volunteer family.

Please read more about the different areas you can volunteer and our application process here:

Corporate & EVENT sponsorships

Cororate Sponsorship

PAALS relies on the support of the businesses in our community and services that they supply. Our sponsors support our events, our expenses and other areas that help us in ways that make our success possible. Please consider one of the sponsorships explained in our sponsorship packet.

Valued Vet

Valued Vet

PAALS invites local veterinary clinics to participate in this program to help off-set the cost of medical care for assistance dog candidates by providing in-kind services for up to five dogs for one year. As a PAALS Valued Veterinarian, you would choose either a Health or Wellness package to provide services and care.

If you are a veterinarian interested in participating in this program, please contact our Development Coordinator:

Foster a puppy.  We need fosters to help socialize our pups, and families are the

best way to help expose them to several different dynamics. It's a commitment of time, patience and love... so if you are up for the challenge, APPLY. For more information, visit our                        ,  or choose an application below.

Wish List

Wish list

We have lots of dogs....and lots of laundry, and we need food, toys, and just about EVERYTHING since dogs can sometimes be a bit "over enthusiastic."

Please check our WISH LIST periodically to see a list of items we'd love to have!

PAALS is Looking for a New Home!

As we continue to grow in the number of assistance dogs whelped, trained and placed with people in need, we find we are outgrowing our current building which is a converted day care center. The mission of Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services is to enrich and empower children and adults with physical, intellectual, and emotional disabilities by training service animals and providing animal assisted educational, therapeutic, and recreational activities. We are accredited with Assistance Dogs International and Animal Assisted Interventions International. PAALS has been serving South Carolina residents with disabilities for 15 years. We need to have more space to expand our ability to serve!

We are hopeful for a bequest from an individual or estate of funds or property that can be converted for our use. Ideally, the property would meet the following criteria:

  • A therapeutic setting that is wooded, peaceful and quiet.

  • Location along the I-20 corridor between I-26 and I-77

  • Approximately 5-15 acres

  • Our main facility building needs to be a minimum of 6,000 square feet.

  • Handicap accessible

  • Facility with an open floor plan or one that can be easily reconfigured

  • Outbuildings would be fine.

If you know of anyone who might be willing to donate property or help fund this initiative, please email PAALS at or

This would be a wonderful legacy to provide help for those people who are challenged by disability.

Help PAALS Find a New Home

Did you know you could name a puppy at PAALS? This supports our organization as well as our future clients. Imagine how great it would be to have someone name a puppy in your honor. Or perhaps in memory of a loved one.
