Donate to Support Bethany Clark
Hey! My name is Bethany Clark and I live in Columbia, SC with my miniature Australian Shepherd, Roxy. I am a physical therapist at Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital Outpatient Physical and Specialty Therapies. I work with children who have an array of medical diagnoses including: cerebral palsy and TBI to strokes and developmental delay, as well as Autism, cancer, and spinal cord injury. My patients range in age from a couple months to early teenagers. I have the honor of helping my patients reach developmental milestones, in addition to watching them grow and learn. It’s an extremely rewarding job and I love that I get to really know my kids and their families.
When I heard about PAALS, I knew my patients would benefit from a facility dog. Having a furry, friendly face in their therapy sessions would be motivating, as well as fun! There’s an unspoken bond between a pet owner and their dog that is irreplaceable, and I want to share this mutual admiration with my patients. I know my kids will find comfort and reassurance from their canine friend and look forward to seeing him every week!
I know that a PAALS facility dog will be an invaluable asset to assist me in providing the very best care to my patients, in addition to putting a smile on their faces and a pep in their step.
