ELIJAH: Is a rising second grader and is a super friendly guy who loves telling jokes and making others laugh. Elijah is also an avid animal lover. He has always had an amazing connection with nature and seems most at peace when he is outside. Elijah has an Autism Spectrum Disorder which causes him anxiety in public places and difficulties with personal relationships. Elijah is so excited about getting a "forever friend" from PAALS- a constant companion that would help ease his anxiety and allow him to work on social relationships. This will allow Elijah a greater sense of freedom and independence in his everyday life.
