Below is a paraphased version of the note sent to all B.E.S.T. Home recipients from Steve Baudo dated January 13, 2009.

RE: Update and Assistance
Greetings to each of you.
First, I want to give you a breakdown of the disbursements given out so far.
Lot 01 - Total donation received = $3,450 ($700 + $2,750 when sold) to UMVIM
Lot 34 - Total donation received = $4,950 ($700 + $4,250 when sold) to Lexington Co. Sheriffs Found.
Lot 81 - Total donation received = $7,150 ($700 + $6,450 when sold) to St. Lawrence Place
Lot 02 - Total donation received = $700 to PAALS (House not sold)
Lot 03 - Total donation received = $700 to KOBAN (House not sold)
Lot 65 - Total donation received = $700 to Saxe Gotha (House not sold)
Lot 66 - Total donation received = $700 to Healthy Learners (House not sold)
Total B.E.S.T. Home donations distributed to date: $18,350
....as soon as the remaining sponsor homes are sold, the remaining donations will be distributed as originally planned. In fact, once these homes are sold, I am working on a donation plan that each of you can receive donations from the sales of my pre-sold custom homes.
Here is where I am asking for your assistance.
[This BAUDO PDF link lists drastically reduced prices] of the remaining four sponsored homes. In addition, I have included limited financing assistance if a potential buyer needs it, and if someone has a home to sell, I have agreed to lease it for up to 12 months so they can go ahead and buy today.
The details are laid out in the attachment. I am asking each of you to please carefully read and distribute the attached sheets to as many people as you can to get the word out. Once you thoroughly read the attached sheet, I think you will see how easy I have made it for someone to purchase one of these homes....
I am asking each of you, INCLUDING THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED THEIR FULL DONATION AMOUNT to please assist your fellow recipients in distributing the attachment.
