Programs
Paals is turning the puppy/dog rearing and training phases into themselves
being venues of service. The programs described below ensure that each
contributed dollar is put to work not just for one goal, but effectively doubled
and tripled in value through use in multiple programs!
S.H.A.R.E.
Students/Seniors Helping Animals Reach Everyone
We are initiating programs to use service dogs in training at a variety of SC facilities for seniors, at-risk youth, and special needs children. PAALS dogs can be used to help connect these diverse groups through tools of mentoring, empathy based experiential learning, and community service goals.
The research world is replete with support for how well many youth respond to animals when other methods have failed. Learning to
motivate and regulate an animal’s behavior provides a powerful lesson in learning to shape one’s own. Realizing
the ability to control specific situations–not merely respond to them–gives not only a huge boost of self-confidence, but actually provides a skill set for future use and possible employment.

Rob's Best Friend Fund
This program provides service dogs to those who serve us: Military, Firefighters, and Police Officers in memory of PAALS founder's brother, Rob Baxter. Rob was lost to cancer but his spirit of giving and service lives on through this program. If you know someone who needs an assistance dog who has served our country or want to donate to this special cause please contact us or make a donation below.
